Former Minnesota standout Obsa Ali, the 2018 NCAA Division 1 champion in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase, won the event in a personal-best 8:28.49 to achieve the IAAF World Championship standard at the inaugural Sunset Tour event at Azusa Pacific University's Cougar Stadium.
